If Pat is the best in reserves each week why isn't he getting a game in the top grade especially when we have injuries
This comment proves you know nothing about football, Ponga won't remain a 1 his whole career he will be a 6 before it ends.
No one in reserves is getting a game each week other than the selected same few, from what I have seen and based on stats shown Pat plays strong and hard, don't think we will re sign him but he gives it his all. This will likely be his last season and despite the "fat Pat" remarks he has given his best we should at least let him go with some respect, don't know how he got the bad wrap but assume it was the few influencing the many
Don't use that word Frank ~ it makes an *** of you and me! For mine, Pat has tried hard but his defence in early days was somewhat suspect. Pat, Chanel and Pete all struggled to keep up with Sione's level.
All the reserve games I've watched pat is leading the way in both attack and defence. Brown must not watch too many of them tbh or he would be playing firsts. Its all my opinion but he is a much better rounded player then last year and the year before that.
Brown said he's seen a few highlights of games & gets down to see them every chance he gets when they play in Cessnock I think it was. I think he's just made his mind up on Pat already, like most of us already have. Pat might be going alright in reserves, but who's Brown gonna pick in NRL, guys like King/Stone who he's invested time & money in to, or someone who he believes isn't a long term NRL player in Pat?
Brown goes to a lot of reserve grade games and under 20s as well. I've seen him at Cessnock a lot and he was at Wyong watching Levi the week before Levi got called back to firstgrade. It was very clear that Levi knew he was watching because he played 80 minutes and threw himself into everything all game. He even took a few shots at goal.
Is that official? Edit: Yep. https://www.newcastleknights.com.au...te-ponga-origin-verdict-griffins-season-over/
I reckon pong will play against eels. Grade 1 is normally 2-4 weeks young bloke you would think lesser side! I have a feeling they are saying 3-4 to protect him from origin
These days the scans are very accurate. If his scan is clear before the eels game, he is 100% good to go.
we haven't seen how well his body heals from injury yet, so time will tell. Origin is not the game you want to come back to test out a freshly healed hammy.
how does that work, does the QRL take our doctors word for it or do they have their own dr look at him also?.
Who said rushed back in? He's 19 and has a slight tear which should repair very very quickly at the age he is and being a first time injury. Give him 10days rest and get him back out on the training field for the last ball session Thursday week.
If a club reports the injury before the teams picked for SOO they have no option but to take the clubs word for it.
