Sharks could of had a young gun backline right now instead they have got washed up overpaid rep players, journeyman at best level talent and Val in their back five for next year.

With Val every chance of not being there come round 1 next year.

They would only stand a chance if they wanted him as a replacement for Tedesco. Isaako will want to play fullback and he’s the obvious successor to Boyd who won’t be around much longer.

A Sydney club and a brown paper bag might change his mind.

The Sharks forward pack has always made the halves and backline look a tad better. I mean they got away with having Luke Covell the slowest winger in NRL history on the wing lol. Except now compared to before their halves are a bit better, and their backline players are better also when Bird/Holmes came about. But spending $1m on Dugan was a huge mistake.

Itll be interesting to see how the pack goes once some of the peptide boys like Gallen, Graham, Lewis etc retire. Guess thats why theyre trying to get guys like Woods in.

    They didn’t pay $1M for Dugan. I recall 4 years, $750K per.

I think Josh Morris will be a solid pickup for them and I think they would’ve got him for good value.

Losing Ramien hurts them. Looks like they may have dodged a bullet with Bird. Who knows what’s happening with Val.

    Also, Graham isn’t near retirement.

Their backline could so easily of been
    1. Holmes
    2. Isaako
    3. Scott
    4. Ramien
    5. Ado-Carr
Right now and heading into the future.

Yeah SMH reported $3m/4 years not including rep payments. Still for a guy who almost will unlikely play 24 regular season games it seems they could have easily tied up Ramien for a bit with half that money even. I dont blame them for not matching the Broncos TPAs for Bird but he probably would have stayed if it wasnt for that and been a good player.

I remember when we were linked to him with him (Dugan) wanting roughly 800k+ lol.

The reports he is on a chicken nugget diet stem from the fact the broncos give their card a $20 card with credit to use that can be used at McDonalds every day to buy whatever and apparently he went nuts with it in the offseason.
