If anyone cares we are playing the Windies tonight

Bracken has been ruled out and Bollinger is his replacement

Well NZ has certainly found some form, and qualified top of their pool. Semi final vs Pakistan on Sunday night.

Pakistan are our bogey team in World Cups - we've lost to them twice in the semis (including 1992, when we won seven in a row against all the other test playing nations before losing to them twice in a row to get knocked out) ... but when we won the Champions Trophy in 2000, we did beat them in the semis, so maybe this is a good thing!!!

Ahh, that 2000 Champions Trophy win for NZ, definitely one of the best nights ever. Seemed like we were right out of it, chasing 264 NZ were 132/5 ... needed a fair bit over a run a ball at one stage, but Cairns hung around to get 102 not out, and all of a sudden NZ were in the box seat, won by four wickets with 2 balls left. Great moment.

We won last night on the last ball against Pakistan :D Wasn't a great game, but it was very nerve-racking. Pakistan have a spinner called Ajmal, he's one of the best young spinners I've seen.

Aust v England in the other semi

Btw how good is it to see the Saffers knocked out :D

England had a couple of good wins before falling to NZ on a tough pitch, but I can't see them getting up against Australia! They'll be too scarred from the previous tournament.

    Might be a trans-Tasman final?!

Loved seeing Australia smash England.... AGAIN!!
Great to see Ponting get another Hundred and hopefully he can carry this little bit of form into the Australian test matches this Summer.

Dont get me wrong, credit to sunshine... but I thought he was well guided by England in getting to his hundred. Trying to bowl bouncers at him... he also scores most of his runs leg side.

It just wasn't a convincing hundred for me.

I didnt watch the game (I'll watch the highlights later) but 136no off 132 is a very good effort, even if it against a team of useless hacks.

Hey, a 100 is a 100 and you take it all the time no matter how sh*t and easy it was.

The pitch was a beauty aswell but he still had to score the runs himself

NZ vs Australia it is! NZ win by 5 wickets, comfortable victory.

Gosh, that was a long night, but glad I stayed up.

For a second, I thought that NZ had won the trophy. Nearly had a heart attack.
