Well as we get down to the business end of the competition and start to get a sniff for a top eight finals birth our for and against surely will come into play due to our poor win/loss record.

After tonight's effort I think we are one point from the eight and -7 for our f&a.

This is the time where you thank our lucky stars that our biggest defeat was only 14 points(I think?), however that doesn't mean crap as we haven't put up nearly enough points on teams we should be dusting up.

We need to win every game from now on to even worry about factoring in for and against.

Is anyone else as excited as I am ?

Yeh, I think this is the better part of the season for us. No byes to spoil momentum, no Origin to take players away and skew the matches. Straight playing til the finals.

5-6 /8 games, we need to win. I guess our F/A isnt that bad when you compare it to the teams around us atm.

    7th -Broncos 36
    8th -Panthers -15
    9th -Eels -6
    10th -Knights -7
    11th -WT -20
    12th -Raiders -33
    13th -Warriors -127

I guess when you compare it to others it isn't that bad, but it could be better.

I think(without going to far into calculations) the best we can finish is sixth/seventh, though that's with us winning all our games and the teams above losing a few of their games.

Teams like Broncos, Eels and Dragons generally finish the season strongly, though with Eels this year it's been a mixed bag of lollies for them, losing to teams they should be beating.

I think the panthers will drop off, so to the Eels, Warriors will finish strong but their F&A is woeful, Raiders im not to sure about. Hopefully all the teams around us pretty much fall over and we make it in

By our standards, our for and against is brilliant! It could easily be our best since 2002 ... we got +33 in 2006, before that our last positive year was 2002 with +196.

Those figures are including the finals, by the way.

In 2006 we were in the top 3 for points scored weren't we? Problem was our defense. Good old Hagan.

That would've been a lot different without Johns.

I'd agree with that. Win more games and the rest will take care of itself. :)

Obviously I'd include a few good thrashings in that wish as well.

I agree with frizzed! Lets just win all the remaining games so we make sure were definantly in the 8! I hate when we get toa positon in the last round were we are thinking well we will get in if so and so wins by this much and this team loses by this much! if that makes sence?

it would be nice to control our own destiny and not have to rely on other results to go our way to make the 8( which I feel is too many teams in the finals anyway). When you are relying on others to lose it is usually a sign that you don't deserve to be there in the first place.
We showed we can score tries again but I would love us to hold an opponent to single figures for a change. Love the fact that we RUN in tries not rely on KICKS.
