And most teams play to their strengths.
It is possible that most halves can pass left and right, but each of them have a dominant side and it is a lower percentage play trying a risky bullet pass under game pressure where time and space is stripped away.

Slots how many effective tackles has Sione made compared to Guerra and Barnett do you know? Be interesting to know per cent of effective tackles, and not third in like Sione usually manages.

Whilst Guerra and Sione's missed figures are similar, it seems Guerra does much more tackling the big boppas coming through. He tackled himself to a standstill last night.

Surprised to see Barnett's % as high as 85. Seems reluctant to use his shoulder. Maybe he borrowed Sione's How To Tackle DVD.

Being second in counts as a tackle,

So Guerra's missed tackle count the same as Sione's but just on twice as many tackles. Brings reality to the picture.

Got to consider circumstances and when in middle they can't avoid you without running into another defender, Sione defends in more open space and unlikely to be second in as often. I agree his tackling is not the best but does it have to be an obsession.

Glad we didnt get james maloney he has already missed 59 tackles with a 60 % efficiency. And speaking of centre gags tackle efficiency is about 70%

Sione's pulled of a great 1 on 1 tackle on Fanua Blake but then had misses my under 11's would be disappointed with.

And yet making a mis read and coming up empty which results in a try doesn’t show as a missed tackle - technically it should be marked as a try assist- stats will only say what you want them to say.

Nobody will ever miss a tackle again once Brown gets rid of the reason we **** in defence ie M Potter.

And made some critical try saving ones but that's stats for you, read into them what you want, you cannot isolate them, a miss by a f/b generally means a try, a miss by a prop generally means his mate makes the tackle, which is worse?

Beaumont - Pots fell into the defensive role , better known as an attacking coach but that is Brownies domain.

Defense is simple, what ever Policy you adopt needs to be set in concrete, no grey areas cause, wherever there is indecision, thats where breakdowns occur.

It destabilises confidence to the defensive unit as a whole and undermines the trust in those around you as they are always trying to second guess what is about to happen.

Whether they adopt a "man on man", "slide inside out" , or "DWinger takes ACentre and DCentre belts AWinger over the sideline" or "Centre hits inside and Winger follows" it needs to be regular and if it doesn't work change it up.

One thing is for sure what ever we are doing doesn't work as well as it should.
