Exactly, so use the 5/8 spot to sure up our D which ix our biggest problem atm.
Also use someone that can chime in with a pass or be a hole running target.

Sam Stone played 5/8 in under 18s, before his growth spurt, and had a bit of a kicking game. He is also faster than people think and has a good football brain.
He is in career best form right now - making just under 40 tackles in his last 2 games.

See now thats a good option also.
Smart brain, skillset, size, and will hold the line in D.
Would you think he could play at centre for a few months? Would love his build at centre

He played most of game 1 in reserve grade at centre after Meaney was injured and Naden went to fullback - not sure how he went.

I'll wanna see Cogger there first before we conclude that our style can't fit in a second half. Lamb might just be playing bad. Cogger might come in & provide some nice little grubbers in goal & some short balls. That would be nice & he would be doing his job. Pearce & Ponga are the main playmakers so the five-eighth just needs to do a small job, which means that I can now appreciate the role Watson was playing. He didn't get the chance to do a whole lot, but he was doing his part which Lamb isn't at the moment. If Cogger struggles as well, then we may as well just put in Buhrer to tackle & be a minor link seeing as we already have 2 playmakers.

The problem comes when Pearce plays SOO or misses a game for any other reason.
If we don't have Lamb up to speed with the team, we have nothing. Watson or Ponga running the side around the park as main playmaker isn't an option.

He might be the best 7 in NSW but he’s not the best 7 for NSW. He’s proven that 18 times. Surely there’s a red line through his name after last year.

Just because Pearce played ex amount of games as SOO half and lost doesn't mean he is the problem, come up with an alternative and then we might see a change, at the moment he is the best we have.

    Exactly,
Its funny how evenyone says the storm are so hard to beat cause of the big 3.
Same goes at SOO, except its the big 4 with 13 other elites to kick ***.
Pearce will be the blues 7 no doubts about it.

Maybe the answer is as simple as Pearce and Lamb swapping sides.

I can't believe that Lamb can perform as well as he did back half of last year and can't replicate it this year with the best 7 we could have and the improved pack. His tackling can't be worse than last year so what's the problem? Think it's fitting into the playing style of Pearce, Ponga etc, maybe overawed by it all, not sure how to fit in etc, something ain't right.

Lamb has always had the luxury to call for the ball when he has a plan or set play in his head and he has been great at making the plan work.
This year he gets the ball when nothing is on and has to ad lib something, and he's never been an ad lib sort of guy.
Lamb looks lost when he gets the ball with no plan, because he has always been the king of implementing a plan, not making some **** up on the run.
