Is the spoon locked in for 2017 yet do we think, or can we still shake it.

    Our run home

    Warriors (H)
    Eels (A)
    Storm (H)
    Raiders (A)
    Sharks (H)

    West run home

    Titans (A)
    Panthers (A)
    Manly (H)
    Roosters (A)
    Cowboys (H)
    Warriors (H)

The current points differential gap between us is 27 points in the tigers favor. And we are currently 2 points behind them, Wests with a game in hand.

If Wests can lose today to the Titans, we lock in the two points behind them and I think they have a slightly tougher run home. They play three teams in the top 8 and panthers who will be playing for a top 8 spot. We play 3 in the top 8 also though, but our other two are not in contention.

We tend to lose games by small margins, meaning if we can get the required wins on the board, and the tigers can get a touch up or two we might bridge the points differential.

We need the tigers to lose today if we are any hope I think.

What do you think, am I dreaming?

Agree, if Tigers win today we're done.

We won't get near Eels Sharks or Storm gearing up for the finals. Warriors are the biggest mysteries, they could put 50 on us or lose by 20. Of the other 15 teams in the comp we have given the Raiders the most trouble over the last two years so that's a winnable game too.

They'll be mathematically out of finals contention by then and checked out for the year.

Canberra in full winter is the hardest road trip in the game.
If you get them early in the season when the weather isn't too bad, it's an OK trip, but playing in winter with a wind chill factor of minus 10 or whatever is hellish.

    NEW ERA ON THE HORIZON??
Also backing us in to win vs Warriors 34-14 though the next 4 are gonna be very tough to keep within 20pts of.

Thank god Johnson is out for the Warriors cause instead of losing by 50 to them we might actually beat them by 20

It's going to be tough as I think we would probably need to jag a win against somebody else.

Best chance is against Canberra who looked hungry last night and we are playing them at Friday 6pm. Need them to be out of finals contention to have any chance

I think the warriors match is winnable and I also think the eels are due a shaky game before the finals.
I think if canberra are still in contention by then they'll be hard to beat but you have to think they'll be nervous playing us given how close the past 3 games weve had against them have been.
    Whether that's enough??? 1 maybe 2 wins??

If we can keep Melbourne under a 40pt loss that would be a pass result for us.
There getting into full steam heading into the finals... hammering Manly atm and ruthless footy by them

    Warriors without SJ and Bodene
Eels without Gutho and ?? over brown
Storm mark that as a loss imo
Raiders Depends which team turns up
    Sharks mark as a loss

possibly 3 out of those are 50/50 atm
cant see Tigers winning too many of those but thats whats great in RL. Anything can happen

Many a time, Billy, we have run out on to Bruce Stadium, or whatever its name is this year, to a cold, cold stadium and left our brains hanging on the hooks in the dressing room. Even the great Joey had been found wanting.

It is a known fact on a zero or below day/night the Raiders management have the heating in the visitors dressing room on high, and no heating in their own. The cold then really hits and slows the opposition.

Bit like the prospect of the dreary dressing room and cold showers at Marathon.

There are nearly always some upsets in the last 3 rounds or so.
Good sides will often rest players with injuries for the finals, especially against sides like us, and some of our players will be having their last games for us or even in the NRL, so will be giving it everything they have.
We could easily find some sides take their eyes off the prize as they start thinking about finals, and let us steal a win or two.
