We are in trouble if we have.
We still need to sign about 15 players in the next 2 months or so.
Herald article confirming he’s leaving to spend more time with family.
Yep seems so
Newcastle Knights head of football Darren Mooney insists the groundwork has been laid for the club to enjoy long-term success after confirming his sudden departure from the Knights to spend more time with his young family
This could be worse than missing out on several marquee players, Mooney gone?
Horrible news. He's the best thing that's happened to the club in years and without Mooney we might be in some serious trouble.
Mooney and Ayoub leaving and us having so many spots to fill still only makes sense if they are clearing the decks for a new head coach to take over.
In totally unrelated news, coach Woolf will probably win the QLD cup title in a few weeks, and will then be in a position to start thinking about a new position he might have. Till then he probably wouldn't want to be distracted.
Sorry Josh - didn’t see it posted in here...I created a new thread with the Herald article content...
What has Nathan Brown done to you personally? You need to go seek help about it as you’re clearly scared from this horrible experience.
Initial thoughts are losing Ayoub and then Mooney is a big blow. Both to spend more time with family. So hard for us out of Sydney team to attract playing talent let alone support staff.
I guess over the next few seasons we will see how much of the recruiting was Brown or Mooney.
No chance Woolf is being brought here to take over from Brown now. If that is what you were insinuating Billy.
The Blackhawks are out of the ISC finals, They were eliminated last week
Give it away Billy all your wishing will not lead to Browny's departure.
Mooney has done a great job for us.
His contract runs out in October anyway, he is just finishing one month early.
Mooney said it was his decision. Spend more time with family. So his deck wasn’t cleared.
Wests are well-run. As difficult as Mooney might be to replace, I’m sure they’ll find a good option. Hoping Mooney stays on in a talent scout-type role, as he seems to have a good eye for recruits.
Potter, Ayoub and Mooney all want to spend more time twiddling their thumbs. Nothing to see here.
Jeez Billy make a mountain out of a mole hill mate , After 3 years of working here and they're families in Sydney its a wonder they stayed that long ...No way would I do that and miss out on what happens with your kids imo no job is worth that ….
Didnt potter land the new new york job?
Sad but don't blame the bloke.
