Mark O'Meley's final say on his selected players;

Bradman Best

Bradman been a quality player for some time and he’s had some up’s and downs with injury, but he’s hit some great form this season.

Jock Madden

Jock was the form halfback of the competition and could be unlucky to not be in the squad last year, but his taken his game to a whole new level this year.

Phoenix Crossland

He had a bit of an up and down year, but he’s done a really good job over the past two years and his football awareness is second to none.

Jaron Purcell

His attention to detail is second to none plus his groundwork and wrestle is great. He plays particular attention to the little things and that’s a great aspect as a rugby league player. He’s obviously a year young but I have no issues with bringing him in.

These games always go the same way - queensland start really strong and run out of puff to lose the game.

Best has done some strong tackles, but very little in attack so far.
Queensland have looked the stronger side, but they do every year for the first half, then the fitness of NSW comes into play in the last 20 minutes of the game.

6-0 to queensland at halftime - they have had the run of play.

6-6 after first set of the second half - Madden kicks from the sideline to even it up - he doesn't miss.

16-10 fulltime
all our guys had good games - although not standouts. Best was our Best I think.

8-6 at halftime and QLD's try was an intercept

Close hard fought game but if NSW get momentum and build pressure the points will flow

Rcg talked a big game and has gone missing. Definition of a cat. Takes the hitups in good ball and shys away in danger zone. Better redeem himself in 2nd stint
