2018 Salary Cap

    Well the RLPA money should come out of the salary cap/player salaries. Effectively it's their union (well in these circumstances at least), and the NRL shouldn't really have to fund the thing their going up against.

    Welfare officers and insurance money should come from the employers, so not be taken from the salary pool. However, obviously these costs will impact the size of the salary pool.

    You can spin it however you like, but if they are taking money out of the cap that they weren't previously it lowers the effective increase.

    That article is out of date now, the NRL and clubs have agreed on what I suspect is a higher figure to take to the RLPA.

    I would suggest slots you take that agreement with a grain of salt. As of last night the Clubs are not at all happy with any talk of a downsizing of the cap in real terms. Just Turdburg talk is all.

    Right. So why haven't the club CEO's refuted it? They'll beat the RLPA into submission in short order
