It would be very hard to dislike Watson.
He will be a great asset to the team and has a go all the time.
How Brown uses him might not have the fans cheering though.

If Pearce doesn't live up to expectations he'll cop it.

Beaumont is making a good point. That is, the club and all of the footballing brains trust associated with the club have said, unequivocally, time and time again that missing the 8 will be a failed season

The only people who seem to think otherwise are the brains trust of half a dozen blokes on a knights forum who think running 10th is ok..

Im with you Beaumont. With you and everyone else who's opinion should be taken seriously on footballing matters

Maybe if doesn’t live up to Kenny’s expectations. Which I’m assuming is a Dally M, Churchill Medal and Rugby League immortality by seasons end.

Check the predictions page. Ive said he'll have a good season with very few teething problems and will look good enough with the ball in hand to be spoken about as a possible candidate for a spot on the wing for QLD

People are forgetting this will be his 3rd season since his NRL debut. He'll be 20 years old. If he is half the player matty Johns thinks he is, he'll have a good season

Brains trust on a knights forum? Didnt u try put Cowboysman on show for "supposedly " insulting the members of the forum just yesterday?
Also no one has said its ok to finish 10th, though everyone besides YOU have stated that finishing 10th isnt a reason to stomp our foot and sack the coach.

I never said it was 78 games... Im just making people aware that we arent dealing with some utterly raw and yet unknown quantity who's ability is untested and still in question.

We know what he can do lol. And so does every other person associated with the NRL

But for some reason I have to rebut the idea that we should expect Ponga to look like your average 18 year old debutant

Matty Johns loves hyperbole though. He had Matt Head as an Australian halfback and Milton Thaiday as NSW fullback at one stage.

I think he’ll be a great signing and will win matches for us with his pace and class but he’s an unproven at First Grade level. He’s talented enough to come out firing and have a great year but it’s not a given and it’s not the end of the world if he doesn’t.

Mate i don't mind being wrong and hope i am but its still better to not put too much pressure on a new team and i know from experience that a new team takes time to gel especially in defence ...You wouldn't believe how much i hope they gel quickly and prove me wrong and if they do i will very gladly say so ...
