If you follow the Roosters it was a great game. If you hate the Storm it was a great game. I fall into neither category and thought it was an average game at best.

The only blemish on the GF was that only one of the teams could lose.

Trent Robinson was the real winner.
His plan of buying Cronk and using him to win the GF was a master stroke.
Playing Cronk injured was the most gutsy move ever.
Robinson would have looked like a complete fool if that hadn't worked.
His gameplan to beat Bellamy with a crippled playmaker will go down as legendary when people reflect on it.
I still don't know how it happened.

I've been a fan of Robbo since he took a very poor Knights reserve grade squad from wooden spooners to nearly winning the comp, and I followed what he did at Catalans in the ESL, taking them from cellar dwellers to contenders, and I have to say that he is rapidly becoming the best coach in the game, and this win will be a big part of his story in time.

Other then a few blips Robbo has done a great job managing a team full of personality players but despite his success like Wayne he has coached some of the better players in the NRL. It doesn't surprise me that he's a great tactician because he comes under the Brian Smith coaching tree and served as an understudy for ages. It's a shame Rick Stone wasn't like that although the teams he coached were far inferior.

As for the game the Roosters have been one of the best defensive teams since the 2010 Dragons IMO and maybe since they last won the premiereship (this version is better) and they've added Angus Critchon in the backrow. Good luck scoring 20 points against them next year NRL teams.

Robbo will not get the credit.

Uncle Nick is already bragging "I made the right decision to buy Cronk and Teddy!"
