That said, outside of storm/roosters/cows every team has big question marks.

Storm have questions to be asked.
Roosters have questions to be asked.

Cows, eagles, parra are the 3 most stable sides from 2017

Storm still win games when their origin players are out. They'll be fine.

Every year I’m hopeful that Melbourne will finally stagnate and come back to the pack and every year I’m disappointed. They aren’t gong anywhere as long as Smith and Bellamy are around.

I know Hunt isnt very popular on here but I really rate him. He is the type of halfback who goes to a new level behind a strong pack, something the Broncos haven't had for a season or two

Dufty comes into the mix as well. So their spine either side of the ruck is looking very dangerous, and they have one of the best backrows in the comp

I may well be overstating their ability as a team but I just get the feeling like they will have a strong year with Hunt and Widdop in the halves behind a strong pack

I have them in my 8 still, but think they wont be the bench mark as previous years.
They have lost a international prop, a international backrower, a international half back and there back up hooker.

Roosters have lost 4 or 5 players all of which were long time players at the club bar Watson in first grade.
Yes teddy and cronk are good buys, but will they click right away? Is the rest of the team happy atm? Questions will be answered soon enough.
Ill stick with them both in the bottom 8.

Good roster but McGregor seems to find a way for them to go backwards every year.

The dragons would win the comp if tries from kicks didn't count, as Mary seems to think.

If Widdop is on then they will be sweet. I still don’t know why they spent all that money on Hunt. Someone like Blake Green would have been good for them.

    Hunt is better than Widdop

Had a poor season last year. But he is a class halfback imo. The Dragons payed 1 mil per season, so unless they're a club of morons, I'd say that holds some water

I predict Melbourne won't miss Cronk this year.

That Brodie Croft is a real talent. Quite keen to watch him.

I I made my predictions earlier and since then have had a rethink due to all the comments being made and I confess that I am totally unsure that I will be even close to right. NRL 2018 is a BIG mystery.

I actually prefer Hunt. I just think Widdop has probably been the more consistent of late. Both at the top of their game are great to watch.

My fearless prediction is that half the teams will do better than expected and half the teams will do worse than expected - and some players will go really well, and some won't.

Lol get involved Billy. Posting predictions feels a bit like gambling, but free gambling. Quite fun, despite how pointless it may feel trying to predict the weather in September

Our under 18s will win the title this year, and reserve grade might too.

Sea Eagles have taken a significant loss in Green though, will have to do with a rookie.

Titans the big movers. If they have a better year with injuries I believe Taylor/Elgey combo could become very good and up in the top 5 or so halves combos in the comp by the end of the season.

Well Kenny Hunt's talent is not the question.

The big question is can he drag the other lemmings from the edge of the precipice as they grab defeat from the jaws of victory and choke?
