Wow. Surely you aren't living in a glass house. Throwing plenty of stones. You blokes get into or make a known franchise? These guys are having a real crack here. Talk about them at years end when you have more of an idea what they are like once they have played more nrl.

I think Beatell is right, we are judging young forwards thrown to the wolves without a guide or a mentor, that should change this season and those that can will those that can't will fall by the wayside.

Fake news Kenny... Fitz signed a two year contact based off of the fact that he had a freakin crazy strike rate, also didn't start until round 10. I didn't see that technique and success rate on the line as any other backrower from then on. Everyone knows that he is top class in reserve grade and he only played 6 nrl games (1 in 2015) before 2017. Was it those 6 games where he was out of position do something to lowkey turn you off him? All I'm seeing at the moment is super solid numbers. Lamb and Fitz were playing like god damn Shaq and Kobe, not sure why you only rate Lamb while seeing Fitz as a fringe fella.

They club left a one year contract offer on the table for him for about a month or two before giving him a 2nd year. What's interesting is that no other club made him a viable offer

Fitzy is a couple years older than Lamb.. look i like Fitzy as a player and he's certainly improved more than i thought he would. So let's see how he goes.

The other thing about Fitzy is that up till 2017 he mixed doing a serious Uni degree with his football. He only finished the final element of his degree during the 2017 pre season, and after that his football has gone from strength to strength. Other guys have done studies and completed good degrees over very long periods, but Fitzy did a serious degree in regulation time, which is a 40 to 60 hour a week commitment right there, and largely in the footy season.
2017 was his first year of giving everything to footy.

Read somewhere this morning maybe Cleary is looking elsewhere as well. I'll try and find where I saw it.

That would be a disaster for the Panthers.

Reynolds to 14 for mine. He was absolute dynamite for the Dogs off the bench back in the day. Only problem is the bloke is on about 800k a season from memory

I know he’s not the best footballer but there are plenty of players that could take a leaf out of his book when it comes to effort.

As I said he started in round 10. The initial 1 year offer was before he was even in the picture, if I recall he barely played first grade in 2017 when that offer was put on the table. He rightfully earned that 2 years after he actually played in his normal position. He was patient, waited and let his football do the talking.

I think Souths were sniffing around, I'm sure other teams would've jumped if he started off from the beginning of 2017.

Credit to him for committing. Really thought he would be off to NZ rugby with the click of a finger.
