It's been another ****ty year, but Ponga nearly makes up for it.
I've never seen anything like him.
Even Joey wasn't that good at 19, and next year Ponga looks like improving even more.
If he were on the market, most clubs would find a million to offer him, just for his potential.

What really pleased me with this years awards is that we changed it up with nominees and excluding ourselves and I think it worked really well

Across all categories pretty much every nominee received votes and it was great to see so many being recognised for their contributions

    Well done everyone !! :applause:

Well done to all the winners and rhugh for putting this all together. You yourself deserve recognition for the things you do around here along with the other staff.

I love coming here to see peoples opinions and sharing my own. My wife doesn't listen anymore so I need a getaway and this place provides that for me.

Years nearly over but I've enjoyed my time here. Hopefully many more enjoyable years to come.
    Cheers all!!

Just like to mention that we had an outstanding year in the juniors - probably our best ever year in fact.
We finished top 4 in all grades, and I think we were unlucky not to win both 18s and 20s.
Most years we see maybe 3 or 4 under 20s play in the seniors - this year we had 13 from our junior system, and 14 if you include Ponga.
Some real stars came through - Ponga obviously, Saulo, Jones, Starling, Tex Hoy, Pheonix Crossland, Jock Madden, Star Toa, Bradman Best, Matt Croker, Beau Fermor - that's as good a crop of juniors as I can remember, and I'll be surprized if most of them don't make firstgrade within the next 3 years - and I could name another 10 who could make a name for themselves next year.

Meh Billy writes that up every year about how good these juniors are. I’ll let him include Ponga in this one as he is as good as anything to come through in years and actual class.
