Paper could be wrong, wouldn't be the first time
lots of ins and outs
Denniss, Levi, Cameron King and Brodie Jones out - Musgrove in the centres, Jake Saifiti at prop, Randell starting hooker, Starling bench hooker, junior Roqico on the bench.
1. Brent Naden
2. Tom Hughes
3. Jacob Gagai
24. Brayden Musgrove
5. Thomas Cronan
6. Christian Hazard
7. Jack Cogger
8. Josh King
20. Chris Randall
26. Jake Saifiti
11. Sam Stone
16. Bobby Treacy
13. Luke Yates
15. Tyrone Amey
17. Faitotoa Faitotoa
21. Junior Roqica
29. Tom Starling
Not many minutes in that bench.
Faitotoa and Roqica only good for 15 minute spells, and Amey has had a slow start to the year too, after being injured for the last month or so of preseason. Good think King, Yates and Saifiti should all be good for 60 at this level.
Jones musn't have recovered from his concussion last week.
Jacob Gagai - 3 for Knights
Jacob Gagan - 4 for Norths
commentators would have fun calling that when one tackles the other.
6-0 to the bears. They scored after 1 minute
12-0 to the bears after 20
Saifiti and Randall replaced by Amey and Starling on 27 minutes.
18-0 to the bears after 31 minutes.
22-0 - that should be halftime.
28-0 - 30 long minutes to go.
28-4 - Tom Starling scores the try
28-10 - Jacob Saifiti scored on 70 - Cogger converted.
28-10 - fulltime
We won the second half 10-6 - and apart from that 1st minute try, the rest of their tries came when our bench players were on, so at least our experienced guys held their hands up.
Still a woeful effort. Lots of hands on hips early and the only standout to me was little ol Tommy starling.
ISP LADDER AFTER ROUND 5
Disappointing to see the team down the bottom. Thought they'd be going better after some of the squad got good 1st grd experience last year.
Not many points on offer for winning the second half Billy!
Reserve grade are just not having a dig. That game v norths was woeful and the only good players there were yates and t starling.
Last year they lost their first 3 games and were clearly not trying.
In the 4th game Tom Starling got his first run and didn't come on till halftime. They were well behind and looking like they didn't care, and young Tom ran down a winger in defence and tackled everything that moved, and the other guys saw the little guy giving everything and lifted to get a last minute win. From then on they lifted and eventually made the finals - and Starling was their best in most games IMO.
If that kid never makes NRL, every side in the real NRL should offer him top dollar - he'll destroy the real NRL comp.
