Round 22 Team of the Week

    1. Trai Fuller (Redcliffe Dolphins) (c)

Just five games into his debut Intrust Super Cup season, and the young fullback has impressed, particularly in Round 22 where he produced a ridiculous 287 running metres, 13 tacklebreaks and a length of the field try.

    2. Wes Conlon (Ipswich Jets)

Only played limited minutes, but was sensational in his time on the field, scoring a brilliant runaway try in the 30th minute, turning the momentum of the game in favour of Ipswich.

    3. Javid Bowen (Northern Pride)

A terrific game from Northern Pride centre, Javid Bowen, scoring two tries and securing a 24-12 victory over North Queensland rivals, and fellow North Queensland Cowboys feeder Mackay Cutters.

    4. Adex Wera (PNG Hunters)

A standout for Hunters in Round 22, Wera with his damaging running game, registering 169 running metres and scoring a try in the 20th minute.

    5. Jeremy Hawkins (Redcliffe Dolphins)

Scored the winning try for Redcliffe Dolphins, securing a 20-18 victory over competition front-runners, Townsville Blackhawks, with a devastating run that resulted in a four-pointer under the posts.

    6. Todd Murphy (Norths Devils)

Solid performer in a losing team, scoring two tries, kicking four goals, busting 10 tackles and running for 128m.

    7. Watson Boas (PNG Hunters)

A sensational game from Hunters half Watson Boas, as he lead PNG to victory against Tweed Heads, running in two sensational tries and controlling the game nicely with his kicking game.

    8. Jet Key (CQ Capras)

Another huge game from the Capras middle man playing the full 80 minutes in the front row, and running for a huge 209m, including 11 tacklebreaks, and 72 post contact metres.

    9. Jayden Connors (Ipswich Jets)

An outstanding performance, from the Jets #9, scoring a try, setting up another, and running for 92m, in a Hastings Deering Man of the Match performance.

    10. Albert Vete (Easts Tigers)

A big game from the experienced Easts Tigers front rower, getting over for a try, busting six tackles, and running for 152m.

    11. Ethan Lowe (Northern Pride)

Showed his experience in Round 22, taking several strong carries out of his own half, terrorising opposition with his leg speed, and registering 170m, including 74 post contact metres and a try in the 27th minute.

    12. Hayden Schwass (Burleigh Bears)

Burleigh’s ‘Mr Consistent’ was again solid in Round 22, for the Bears, running for 149m, making 42 tackles and getting over for a try early in the game.

    13. Jamil Hopoate (Redcliffe Dolphins)

Yet another ‘Team of the Week’ appearance after a big performance in Round 22, registering 133 running metres, getting over for a meat pie, as well as making an additional 45 tackles.

    14. Zac Santo (Townsville Blackhawks)

A solid performance in a losing side, and unlucky not to come away with the win. The always dangerous Blackhawks fullback was a constant threat for Townsville, running for 123m, setting up two tries, and scoring one himself.

    15. Harry Grant (Sunshine Coast Falcons)

Went head-to-head with fellow young rake Brandon Smith in what was a battle of the Melbourne Storm feeder clubs. Grant was impressive, scoring a runaway try, making 33 tackles and setting up a try off a pin-point kick

    16. Pat Carrigan (Wynnum Manly Seagulls)

A big game from young Wynnum wrecking ball Carrigan, registering 155 running metres, busting seven tackles and scoring a barnstorming try, after getting rid of several Norths defenders.

    17. David Murphy (Northern Pride)

Definition of ‘impact player’ after registering a huge 198 running metres, including 86 post contact metres, in just 38 minutes of game time.
