How many times were Ponga or Pearce our best players in a game? Not a lot of chance for others to get points outside of the odd 1 point a game. It's why those guys are so high on the leaderboard despite us finishing so low.

Agreed, points come easier for top players in poor performing teams due to the same few getting the points, Jackson got his points due to that, not many standouts in Dogs so same few, Jackson, Klemmer, us Pearce and Ponga and in Canberra not much of anything and Leillua is easily seen, good or bad. If you are in a top team, Easts or Melb then you share points week in week out with 6-7 top line players.

I can think of few occasions where Ponga or Pearce got the 3 or 2 and we had better players. Round 5 against Brisbane was a prime example. Fitzgibbon was comfortably our best that night. I can also remember a couple of games against Parra where Saifiti was definitely our best. Other games where Sione, Griffin and Watson probably deserved 2 or 3 points too.

Pearce and Ponga were our best but there’s a few players that have been robbed of points because they don’t have Pearce or Ponga’s profile.

If your not a spine player, you REALLY have to stand out to get any dally M points.

    Tal style stand out.

Gavin Miller was virtually a spine player.
He'd be a 5/8 if he played today - but in those days a guy that big had to play in the forwards, even though he was their main playmaker.
