    O'Keefe has to play.
I have no idea how or why he ripped through India twice in the first test, and maybe it was just luck, or just a perfect pitch for his type of bowling, but we have to name him again to see if he can do it again.

India will try to hit back hard after their humiliating loss in the first test.

Hopefully Starc, Hazlewood and Mitch Marsh will be able to get reverse swing to bring them into the game. We will need to score as many runs as we can in the first innings before the pitch deteriorates in the second innings.

I would love to see us win the series over there!

Looks like good conditions for batting, First hour may be challenging but after that we could really see the runs flow

Just read that the average score batting first here since 2004 is 451 so the Aussies will have bowl out of their skin

1st session was interesting, Australia on top with India 2/72 at a run rate of 2.5

Lyon is bowling beautifully and Starc looks dangerous

O'Keefe is backing up his performance from the first test as well with figures of 0/9 from 7 overs including 3 maidens

The start of the second session will be super important, Would love to get Kohli early

Another great session for the Aussies, 4 wickets fell for 96 runs

India are 5/168 and a long way off that par score of 450

Kohli produced a candidate for worst review ever, Didn't offer a shot and was correctly given LBW

    India all out for 189
Nathan Lyon did the damage with 8 for 50
Wouldn't say this wicket is a raging Bunsen Burner like it was in Pune but still

Good thing they don't let me select the team.
I'd have left O'keffe out of the first test and dropped Lyon for this one.

That was probably one of the great days of Australian test cricket.

What a performance by Lyon !!

    - Best figures by a visiting bowler in India, Previous Record was 8/64 by Lance Klusener back in 1996

    - Got Kohli out 5 times in test cricket which is more than any other bowler except for James Anderson who also has him 5 times

    - Most wickets by an Australian in India with 58, Yesterday he went past McGrath (50) Benaud (51) and Lee (52)

    - 6th best figures by an Aussie bowler in test history

Pretty even 1st session on day 2 with India getting 2 wickets

Australia 2/87 and trail by 102 runs, Renshaw solid on 40* from 144 balls

Tea on day 2 and that was India's session, 3 wickets fell for 76 runs and Australia still trail by 26 runs

Renshaw was brilliant again with his 60 from 196, Marsh also good with 38* off 137 balls

    Very important session coming up

Good day for both teams but Australia on top at 6/237 with a lead of 48 which in these conditions is very handy

Some inconsistent bounce and rapid turn means this will be a nightmare batting last so Australia need every run they can get

Australia will be thinking 300 but it will be tough

    Renshaw and Marsh were brilliant

Aussies still definately in the box seat. Been a true test match so far. Scoring shouldn't be easy. Hearing many people being critical of Matt Renshaw for not scoring quickly but to quote one of the pieces of commentary from Cricket 96. "This is Test Cricket not a one day match!"

Today has been a tough day of test cricket. The wicket is a worry - some balls keeping very low, some taking off and some spinning a long way.

Every run we can score on day 3 will be invaluable.
