That last twenty minutes was cool, controlled footy and showed confidence we would win. Quite a few good players out there, Cogger, Meaney, Saulo, Persall, Huighes etc.

Saulo could well do a Sam Stone or a Saifiti and do a firstgrade off season and be ready to play some firstgrade at 19.
He is a bit of a late bloomer like those guys. It wasn't till last year he really stood out in under 18s, and he made NSW under 18s, Australian schoolboys, won almost all our under 18s awards including the Carlsen award, and in his first game of NYC he cracked 100 metres off the bench.
He had a pretty quiet start to this year, but I read the other day he had off season surgery and missed all the off season training.
It's only the last month or so he has hit his straps again.
Apparently his father was also a Knights junior who played under 18s with Bedsy.

Ironic to call him a late bloomer if he's achieved all those things at 18 years of age. Generally the high achieving 18 year olds are the early bloomers of the NRL.

well he played in the same under 16s side as guys like Brodie Jones, Heath Gibbs, Tom Starling, Matt Cooper etc, and to be honest, I didn't even remember him being there. It was just last year he suddenly won every award.

It's good signs for our future if we have a bunch of guys already looking good at 16, knowing that there's others that won't hit their straps until 18 like Saulo.

We have some very good young player, Saulo among them, lots of front rowers in u/20's, hope our new buys for firsts give them time to develop

Yep. The boys either group together and win too keep them in the top 8 or we go to water and lose by a big margin and our finals hopes out the door. Their choice.

we only need to win half our remaining games to make the 8.
If we win more than half we'll probably make the 4 with the way the table is bunched.
While ever Wyong is coached by Rip Taylor, they will want to flog us, so we'll lose this week for sure.

I went to a game against Wyong at no 2 sportsground several years ago that was the most brutal game I've been to. I think 6 players got sin binned or sent off. At one stage it was 11 v 12 on the field.
Even when we were a way better side than Wyong, we only won after the blood bath. Now that they are the better side, we'll be better off not getting down and dirty with them, or we'll be lucky to name a side the next week.

Thought we were playing Wyong this week but listed as North Syd, still a tough game, they are all at need to win now.

    we play Norths (6th)
    Illawarra (9th)
    bye
    Mounties (5th)
    Wentworthville (8th)
    Wyong (1st)

So winning our next 2 games is probably the best route to the finals
The Illawarra game is probably key. They should lose to Penrith this week, and if we beat them next week, that should kill off their chances of making the 8 and leave us safely in.

46 tackles and 112 metres in 67 minutes as a starting prop to Yates puts the stats of other forwards into perspective.
He just hold his own in firstgrade, but at this level he still has big numbers in him.
Although, Amey has had better numbers in several games.

Randell & Stocky had some pretty bad days out with the ball in hand looking at the stats.
