2 cracking games in store I reckon and for me both games are a toss up

I know how strong the Storm have been but anything can happen in Finals and they wouldn't be the first Minor Premiers to choke

In fact if you take out the Storm's 2007 Minor Premiership and Premiership wins the Minor Premiers have gone on to win the GF just 5 times since 1999

If you have a look at Grand Finals since 1999 (The beginning of the McIntyre System which was replaced by the current system in 2012) lowest ranked teams (7th and 8th) have made the GF just twice (Bulldogs in 2014 and Eels in 2009)

No team has won the Premiership from outside the top 4

Surprisingly 1st vs 2nd GF's haven't been that frequent either

We have had the top 2 play each other in the big dance just 4 times since 99 (Excluding the Storm 2007-2009 due to their Premierships and Minor Premierships being stripped)

3rd place is the most successful team since 1999 with 6 premierships including the last 3

    2016 - Sharks (3rd) vs Storm (1st)
    2015 - Cowboys (3rd) vs Broncos (2nd)
    2014 - Rabbitohs (3rd) vs Bulldogs (7th)
    2013 - Roosters (1st) vs Sea Eagles (4th)
    2012 - Bulldogs (1st) vs Storm (2nd)
    2011 - Sea Eagles (2nd) vs Warriors (6th)
    2010 - Dragons (1st) vs Roosters (6th)
    2009 - Storm (4th) vs Eels (8th)
    2008 - Sea Eagles (2nd) vs Storm (1st)
    2007 - Storm (1st) vs Sea Eagles (2nd)
    2006 - Broncos (3rd) vs Storm (1st)
    2005 - Tigers (4th) vs Cowboys (5th)
    2004 - Bulldogs (2nd) vs Roosters (1st)
    2003 - Panthers (1st) vs Roosters (2nd)
    2002 - Roosters (4th) vs Warriors (1st)
    2001 - Knights (3rd) vs Eels (1st)
    2000 - Broncos (1st) vs Roosters (2nd)
    1999 - Storm (3rd) vs Dragons (6th)

Partying overseas so didn't see the response in the last thread. Not to sure what was wrong or out of line from my end when Buderus himself stated what I wrote but anyway who cares. Bring on the chooks.

All the right teams are remaining I believe. This wha tmakes a champion team is being able to have players fill a spot and do a job, Benji, Morgan etc. Taumalolo has been outstanding, be interesting to see how long he can maintain his form.

8-0 to the Storm at the break, This game is being played at a really fast pace

The Storm have made some uncharacteristic errors and have missed 18 tackles

They looked a bit vulnerable, Question is can Brisbane exploit it ??

Personally don't care who wins because I hate both teams but would love to see them belt the crap out of each other for 80 minutes...Extra time would be great too

Also so glad we aren't getting Blair. What a useless player who only knows how to dog shot.

Pretty scary from stuff from Melbourne. They were well below their the best for the most part and then just blew them away with absolute ease. Brisbane were poor though, hopefully Cowboys/Roosters will put up more of a fight.

Absolutely hate Melbourne but there is no denying they are the best and they will be incredibly hard to beat come Grand Final day

According to NRL.com Melbourne had 48% possession, Made 10 errors and missed 28 tackles against quality opposition but still flogged them 30-0

The Broncos have attacking threats everywhere but had just 1 linebreak in the whole game

    Scary indeed

    I am extremely disappointed.

I was hoping for a result where both the Storm and Donks were eliminated!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm hoping for a Storm vs Roosters grand final. If the Cowboys somehow make it through, I can't see them being anything more than cannon fodder. Although they'll have to be given some respect if they actually beat the Roosters. For mine, Storm vs Roosters will be a great grand final clash of 2 of the hugely dominant teams of the past 5 years.

8-6 at halftime to the Cowboys

Big boost for the Roosters scoring just before halftime, Cowboys were well on top prior to that
