2017 Knights Injury List

nib Newcastle Knights co-captain Sione Mata’utia was injured late in Sunday’s match at Belmore Sports Ground.

He had a scan on Monday, which cleared him of a fracture in his index finger.

Mata'utia required a surgical wash-out of the wound however remains in contention to play on Saturday against the Brisbane Broncos.

That's great news for Sione. They first said it was a compound fracture which is probably almost the worst possible thing that could of happened to his finger & now he's in contention to play again next week.

Pauli Pauli injury update

nib Newcastle Knights forward Pauli Pauli was injured in Sunday's ISP match at Belmore Sports Ground.

Scans on Sunday confirmed a fractured fibula.

Pauli Pauli will be sidelined for approximately six to eight weeks.

fractured fibula is terrible news for pauli - another 6 weeks he can't train, so any fitness he has is gone for the year.

Yes he has had 2 major injuries this year.

It's really bad timing with him being off contact this year.

Might as well get himself right and if has to trial for a contract next year, he won't be back this year, fitness
Pauli is young enough to make it but not sure on attitude, that might be lack of fitness due to injuries

Jacob has a calf injury according to the Herald.
He had compartment syndrome last year, which is calf related, but he wouldn't be on crutches for compartment syndrome.
