Where u hear this? Simona would walk onto the centres for us.. great player.
I wouldn't quote crap that Nathan Ryan writes as gospel though, not really a credible source
Ethan neither were even considering coming here. It was a beat up by the hamburger boy to pull our chains.
I don't think it necessarily means we won't buy anyone at all to come in. No big spending spree until 2018, obviously because that's when all the stars come off-contract. In the mean time I expect us to pick up 1 cheap Grevsmuhl type player just to shore up the squad a bit.
I reckon we will pick up at least two forwards mid year they're just holding out for some out of favour players
Yeah my point is don't at all times you have to have a squad of 25 for the year? We have 1 player effectively sacked and another that walked out.
The nrl provide each club with a salary cap and are to have 25 registered nrl players by the time the season starts... not sure what the fine would be as no team has run with less players
They'd move someone from the second tier / part time group to top 25 and increase their pay to 85k if it wasn't already.
Pretty much what will happen,
Then bring in someone else to the 2nd tier group to keep the roster at 34 players
yeah pretty much! So we will def have 25 by rd 1
Folks keep talking about all this extra money we will have. First pay day 1 November, and Korbs, Mullo and Pauli have a;ready received 25% of their annual salary and we will keep paying Pauli of course. I just hope we are not paying Benny's brown paper bag kings part of Korbs salary for releasing him.
Does anyone know or are there any whispers about it in Newie?
Depressing thought lol.
From all reports Brown refused to contribute a cent. And Korbin's contract is 100% the responsibility of the Broncos
luv-er-lee thanks Kenny. Don't you feel for poor ole Benny and wasn't he lucky with no evidence offered on James Roberts again? Another paper bag?
When your luck as a football club is correlated with your wealth as a football club, I become immediately skeptical about your luck
Rumour: Knights in talks to sign an ESL prop for 2017
Read Barry Toohey's article on Sunday Telegraph today that we are In talks of signing a prop from the ESL for this year but negotiations have been stonewalled by his club
Scott Taylor or Chris Hill?
Toohey did say he is an English Rep player so that narrows it down a bit
They have recently signed to deals that end in 2021 and 2020 so that rules them out.
Not really.. I can't see how it matters much given the ESL culture of player trading for $$$
