Just to add to Smithy's record breaking run...

    - Now has the second highest test average (61.91) behind Bradman (Minimum 20 innings)

    - He has become just the second batsman in history to score 1,000+ test runs 4 years in a row, The other is Matty Hayden who did it 5 years in a row (01-05)

    - 3rd quickest player to 22 test centuries (108 innings) behind Bradman (58 innings) and Gavaskar (101 innings). It took Smith 23 innings to get his first century

This partnership is 173 from 242 balls

Marsh looks so much better technically, He is more watchful and playing with softer hands

He has lost none of his power though, There are 17 boundaries in his 100

Smith looks like he could bat for another day

Marsh is on 121 and smacking boundaries left, right and centre

This partnership of 301 between Mitch Marsh and Steve Smith has broken England

They have now been in the field for 152 overs

On the positive side for them.....

They have had 6 players rack up centuries, The problem is 4 of them are bowlers

Personally never been a fan of Mitch but boy he has proved me wrong today! In a similar number of Tests he made half the runs of brother Shaun.

Listening to an interview, he gives all the credit to his coach Scott Samuelson or similar. After eight years first class cricket, convinced him he should be playing defensive shots off the back foot, and not the front.

Hopefully the rain goes away and we see an Aussie victory

A draw ain't so bad though, It would mean England has to win the last 2 tests to retain the ashes

That ball from Starc was unplayable.
He is really swinging the ball - bad news for England.
