632th time lucky for Darsh. Paine is pretty lolworthy aswell.

We'll still hammer the Poms though.

Tim Paine is a shocking selection, His first class record compared to Nevill is poor

I know Nevill hasn't done alot in Tests but he is a better batsman and a better keeper imo

I was stunned when I heard he was in the team. He has not even kept regularly this year. He fielded at first slip in his last game.

He has scored 1 century in 11 years of first class cricket

We desperately need a Keeper who can make runs especially in difficult conditions and circumstances

It is great that Cameron Bancroft will finally play in a test.

Paine was very unlucky to lose his spot by breaking his finger years ago - he looked set for years in the side.

He is also a very smart player. I remember he was miked up in a 20/20 game I think it was, and his insight were fantastic. He'll make a very good commentator when he retires, or selector, or both.

And Tim Paine can't even score the job for the Tigers.
    .
Trevor Hohn was always going to present this 'Back to the Future' difficulty. I guess Bird and Sayers will be the two to drop off. Like all selections Lefty, it will prove to be brilliant or a disaster

First session will be critical, Australia must strike early

If England go to lunch at only 1 or 2 down then they can pile on the runs this afternoon

It will be tough for the batsmen early on but traditionally batting becomes easier at the Gabba post lunch on day 1

That was Starc's 149th test wicket

If he get's 150 he will be just the 22nd Aussie bowler to reach that mark

Considering we have had 450 test players that's a small percentage of players
