2019 Pre Season and Trials

Police may be involved if there are payments being made that haven't been declared to the tax office. Also, as we saw in the Darren Weir case, Racing Victoria got the police involved to use their greater powers to search properties.

The photos of the 13 on 13 opposed session show Lino filling in for Ponga and Barnett and Sione in the second row with Fitz on the sidelines not kitted up and no photo of Guerra.
I don't know who as in the centres for the firsts, but I see Jacob Gagai is in the seconds.
Middle forwards for the first 13 were Klem, Gavet and Glasby, while the seconds had Dan, Ese, King and Saulo - I assume one was playing second row.

Didn’t even realise Jacob Gagai was still with us. Never hear about him.
He played 1 game of reserve grade last year that I remember, after saying in an interview that he was ready to really give it a go after never taking football seriously. I suspect he's had a pre season with the reserve grade squad and is doing his best to impress. He's a funny one - he had a handful of really good games in under 20s, and a heap of games where he looked disinterested.

Just looked up his record for last season.
He played 5 games and scored 3 tries.
All his tries came in his last game, where he had 4 linebreaks, scored 3 tries and ran for 112 metres against the Panthers, who were one of the top sides.
Pretty typical of him to have a really good game every now and then.

he spent most of last 2 seasons with lakes, got picked in our CRL rep team aswell last season from memory. i was unaware he was still on the knights radar

Watching the Eels v Raiders trial - Tom Starling got 40 minutes - he played the second and fourth quarters - in the second quarter he played against most of the Parra firstgrade squad and was targeted by Tim Mannah and never missed a beat. He scored a try as well.
By the end of the game the Raiders commentators were saying he might have played himself into the 14 jersey for firstgrade, but I don't think he is even signed yet.
JJ Collins (Felise) also scored a try for Canberra in their 22-20 win.
Parra played most of their firstgraders for the first 60 minutes and Canberra were mostly reserve graders, so it was a good win for Canberra, and shocking from Parra.

Being the less talented and loved sibling can be a real mind ****. Just ask my sister.

Milton Thiaday was expected to be a success because Sam was carving it up (although they're cousins rather than brothers).

The expectation tied to a surname can be a real hindrance to some

Milton did great until injuries plagued him.

lol Wobbles mozza's post was one of those 'false modesty' things. His sister does NOT agree!

The Knights site has deleted all the reserve grade profiles of guys who have left (finally).
Interestingly, they have kept Tevita Alifa, Hayden Loughrey, Zac Hosking and Jacob Gagai - as well as guys who have been training with firstgrade like Fermor, Jones, Andrews, Hoy, Musgrove, Toa and Momoisea.

They haven't added any new names so far - it's just the guys who played reserve grade last year who are still here.

Woolford is the only one I can think of who I haven't heard is injured who has missed out - but maybe he is injured - or Brown wants to give Mann, Buhrer and Levi as much time as possible - and Woolford long minutes in the reserve grade trial.

I think Mann will start and knock out as many minutes as he can at firstgrade pace, just to see what he can do. Danny doesn't need another long run.

Jacob Gagai?
Thats a strange inclusion.
Is he competing for the final top 30 spot?
If he is he must have had a massive pre-season.

Moga isnt named. maybe he is not ready yet.

Moga isnt named as well. maybe he is not ready yet.
I think it's because Hunt, Moga, Andrews and Musgrove are all injured - which just gives him Ross, Ramien and Toa - and he probably doesn't want to play Ross.

I think middle of the 'pack' is probably a good position to be in with a mix of mobility, agility and some sizeable units in the mix as well....I think this is one of those 'measures' that says a balance is probably the ideal scenario...just my thoughts anyway.:)

5 teams from last year's top eight in the heavy half, 3 in the bottom half. Last year's grand final teams at position 2 and 15. That's a fairly even spread. Our mix of size and mobility is about right I'd say.
