Knights sign Kurt Mann on a 3 year deal

The one bit of new information in the herald article about Mann is that Brown says Mann trained with Melbourne for an entire off season as a hooker, and since Brown was in the Melbourne system as a recruiter at the time, he probably had a chance to see him going through his skills, and as an ex hooker and coach, Brown may have even done some coaching sessions with him.

Brown should have led with that, because at least it shows he isn't just plucking names out of the air and thinking they might go OK at hooker.

Either way, apart from the “agenda” Brown has with him Levi is the only established/experienced hooker we have.
 
See to me I think Brown rates him as a hooker highly. I think we will see the best of Levi this season.

There is obviously more about Levi then we know. Brown might be smarter than we think and it now appears Levi is responding.

Agreed, think Levi's danger for 9 is Woolford with Mann the continuous 14. Signed Buhrer for 1 year and he is now pushed down the line looking more like 14 in reserves unless injuries. We will be lucky to see Griff back at all let alone 2019 and he will be short of a gallop, don't think we should even consider until he is back in the game. Think Woolford only signed for one year to cover Griff and see how he goes, an extension will depend on Griff fitness and his form/potential
 
Didn't sign Buhrer for 1 year, he just exercised his player option.

I'm sure Brown will ditch Buhrer and Woolford and sign another two hookers next year in his never ending search :lol:
 
Brown's spoke positively of Levi's effort and attitude thus far what happens from here on in is up to Levi himself.

People tend to forget that in the couple of games before Griffin got injured last year, Levi was playing 50-60 mins at hooker with Griffin only playing the first 20-25. Levi had essentially become the first choice hooker again even though he wasn't starting
