Is there any interest/news from the knight with signing taupau or getting AFB?

Should we also look at Merrin as he’s being shopped to super league?

Would be great if we could get another quality forward as everyone believes Klemmer a done deal

Toohey wrote recently that Merrin isn’t on the cards anymore. With player movement looking like it’ll explode I’m sure we’ll have bigger fish to fry.
 
For mine Merrin will be pushing to get a gig anywhere. Time is catching up with the ole fellah (like all of us).

Marty Taupau on the move?

With Leeds securing the services of Panthers’ lock Trent Merrin, they are unlikely to make a move for Taupau as well.

However, Taupau is believed to be reluctant to work with new Manly coach Des Hasler, after the pair clashed at the Bulldogs.

Hasler has the burden of Manly’s salary cap issues to contend with, so offloading Taupau’s hefty contract would ease some cap pressure.

Taupau is coming of a career best season in terms of run metres and would be a handy addition to a number of NRL clubs.
 
I wonder if the dogs while make a play for him? He is a lot better than Napa.
