Mitchell Pearce

Was a good read must have been written before this week end cause the stitches above and below his eye will leave him scared and not clean skinned as the article implied.
Anyway good luck to him and I hope it rubs off on the Club as well

And I have no doubt the pain affected his performance for the rest of the game as it bled quite heavily right up until full time.

And the result of friendly fire after a head knock with Kalyn.

Pearce didn't look under the weather after that head knock, but he was essentially missing in action for the rest of the game, so it probably knocked him around more than he let on.

Nope it was the JT effect on Pearce. For whatever reason just goes to water all the time.

He will be back next week though.

I really think Mitchell needs help in the halves. It showed that when he gets a knock not much else creativity comes along.

No matter how good you are no one can do it alone, JT is a prime example of that.
To be fair we were missing CONNOR and apart from being heavily marked KP was coming off an injury.
Things will pick up but I think that was our last opportunity to advance up the table , our draw looks tough from here on.

My thoughts as well. Threw a couple of nice final passes that sent players through the line.

I thought Cogger's always had some nice subtle touches in his time in first-grade all up until that stretch where he needed to be the main man on the field. Seems like that's his role going forward, probably was that way through the juniors with Lamb as the main playmaker too. Bulldogs will be disappointed though, he's not gonna be that saviour halfback they're looking for unless his game develops rapidly.

Dean Pay knows exactly what he gets in Cogger and Meaney.
He coached them in NSW under 20s and got to put them through their paces for a couple of weeks.
At that time Coggs was just back playing after a long layoff to recover from surgery to "stabilize his pelvis" and it's fair to say he was a long way short of full fitness.
To be honest, I reckon Coggs has only shown signs of getting back to his pre injury abilities in the last month or so. He is finally kicking the ball further than I could and he did a few decent steps and showed a bit of pace and acceleration against the Cowboys.
He turns 21 soon and is starting to look fit and ready for next season.
