Leagues a funny game. in a matter of about 3 minutes i went from being ecstatic with our best performance (imo) of the year to pouring doubles of captain morgan whilst forseeing the end of our season.

If watson is fit he gets the 6 now more than ever. Cogger can sit in ressies his not in our future plans at all
I don't care about future plans yada yada. If Watson stays down and cogger leads us to a premiership then you going to complain? If any player puts in 100% on the field leaving or not I'll back them. Do you see Angus Crichton sitting in reggies? NO.

That's what happens when you put all your eggs in 1 basket and play with 1 playmaker im afraid.

do you see a better 2nd rower playing reggies for north sydney over angus chricton

i get ur comment. but cogger isnt a standout half he offers no more than watson so why play cogger because of the fact we won tonight, with little thanks to him?

I know it won't happen, and probably shouldn't happen just now because we haven't trained for that combination, but that's our best young spine.
100% agree. Imagine in 3-5 years time what those players could do in a spine formation.

I'm only going by my own opinion tbh. These blokes have played together for the better part of 5 years. Made rep teams. An old combination is better then a new one is my line of thinking.

if that was the clubs line of thinking we wouldnt of bought pearce or watson . my initial point was, rightly or wrongly watson waltzs back into the 6 jersey especially with pearce going down, and given lamb is a similiar type of player to pearce ie (dominant organising half) he should wear the 7 alongside imo watson. but for now lets all go to bed and prey that pearceys scans prove to be a minor tear and his back in a month lol

Goggs and Lamb had one game together in reserve grade in Cessnock last year, and they slayed it. They both scored tries and both had try assists for each other. It was like they had a hundred plays they had been working on since they were 15.

It's funny how they've been inseparable as a pairing their entire junior careers, then the last 2 years they've had literally maybe less than a handful of games together.

Yates is a much better player than last year.
He looked fantastic all pre season, giving it to his bigger name opponents - smashing guys like Lillyman and Buhrer.
In his games of reserve grade he has well outplayed King and Jake Saifiti when he came down for a game.
He has been playing 60+ minutes, making 40+ tackles at over 90% tackle efficiency and running neat 100 metres in every game he has played in reserves.
He'll never be big, but he is a little brick with eyes.

Loved him. He keeps playing like that and he'll stay in first grade and before too long he'll be my second favourite player behind Fitz.

How good's Fitz btw.?

Bolter??

Barnett had his best game of the year.
Still not nearly at the same level as last year, but he is improving every game, and I think the week off came at a good time for him.
