Your team v Canberra

Cogger is the better player so I'd pick him, why pick a worse team when we need these two wins so badly?

Why do we need these 2 wins so badly? We are last and will finish last barring a miracle.

Reserve grade will be playing finals footy and being the only senior team doing so this yr, u would think keeping the best spine they have used mostly together to make sure they go into the finals primed.

The newcastle knights aint all about the nrl side only.

Im really keen to see how Pat mat would go in firstgrade in the forwards tbh,
Think his been the best forward in cup this yr and seems to be totally off Browns radar.
Agree with Pat sentiments, not even getting to start in cup, has been very strong, also think they will go with Feeney, assuming Sione not fit, HIA, is a good side although it doesn't matter who plays from cup side, win or loose they are in semi's.

Pat is on the bench because he is filling in as a prop because we are so short of props at the moment.
I notice he is pretty well always one of the shadow players who trains with firstgrade, so they haven't forgotten about him completely.

2 wins isn't a miracle, I still think we can make it.

Make what? Not last? Who gives a toss in the end?
If it was 2 wins to make the top 8 then yes bring in the best possible players we have.

But u dont kill another sides momentum going into finals to strengthen another who has nothing to gain.

I know cup makes the 8 if they loose this week or win, though if they are weakened in the spine dramatically that losd could be by 40pts to Wyong... not a great way to head into the finals being belted by the top side.... u want to take a fight to them to see what u can do heading into the finals.

Or know where you need to improve to beat them.

Wasn't throwing in the towel on cup side, whoever we take to cover injuries in 1sts will weaken them, selection should be best to suit both.

If not getting 3 spoons in a row isn't a huge incentive to kick a** this next 2 rounds and put our best 17 on the field then I don't know what is. It'd rather chance winning 2 games and not getting a spoon over a reserve grade finals series where we're making up the numbers.

Reserve grade will be OK. Feeney and Pearsall have been working together for 2 years off and on, and have a good combination going.
The plan they used on the weekend to have Faitotoa start at hooker and Starling come on after 20 minutes worked well too. Faitotoa probably doesn't have more than 20 minutes in him at hooker, but he is decent enough in attack and an extra prop in defence.
