Official: Knights sign Connor Watson on a 3 year deal

watson will 100% be our 6 imo! i remember Barry Toohey saying thats the spot he was promised if he signed?

Tough one cause Lamb is a shoe in for one spot. Cogger is bloody close and Phythian if fit is in my 17 somewhere he's a real footballer.

Just met Clinton Shifcofske on the plane from Syd to GC and he overheard me telling my son about Connor Watson. My son was wearing his Knights singlet and so Clinton gave me his business card and told me to send him our address so he can get Connor to send us some signed Knights gear, as he is Connor's agent!!!
Unbelievable luck..

Think we have Hodko for next year, have no problem with that, in form/best player gets picked, agreed this group can do the job, any plus signing is a bonus
 
Really hope this Watson signing is 100% true. I love the way he plays and at 6 he's played his best for the Roosters when he's had the opportunity.

Also, am I the only person on this forum that wants Buhrer on the field for 80 minutes and not on the bloody bench?

Don't have a problem with Buhrer and yes spell Levi but start with bigger bodies, Barnett etc. Buhrer on after 20 or so relieve Levi when required, rotate 9, 11, 12, 14, all average about 60mins.

Yeah as much as I don't think SKD and Guerra we're big signings they were significant in terms of getting profiled players here. Others don't seem to be standoffish now

Really happy about the Watson signing but I don't like us apparently promising him the 6 jumper when he's barely an established first grader. What message does this send Lamb & Cogger ?

Guess this means Feeney won't get a new deal, looked good at times but didn't take his opportunity.....
 
Feeney shouldn't get a new contract now.

Lamb to 7, Watson to 6. Now waiting on the Moga and Ese'Ese announcements after todays game.
 
Just read from the mole on twitter, Watson potentially getting cold feet and Roosters trying to talk him into staying in the 14. - Load of garbage, just his manager trying for a last money grab.

I think that story came out yesterday morning since then Foxsports has confirmed he signed with knights .....

U watched the players in the team he currently plays for?

Kinda like the difference of Gagai in SOO then coming back to club land.

Watson can look good at the roosters due to quality players around him making the big players work.

That luxury wont come easy in newcastle.
Ive said it before, u could put lamb at 6 for the toosters and he would be talked up for SOO most likely.

So true. I don't pretend to be any sort of coach but until our forwards start getting back after a kick and taking hit ups (yes wingers can take the first two) and the outside men supporting the forwards sniffing around for an offload we are always going to be on the back foot. We're not winning ruck speed when we have the ball which isn't tiring the other team out.
