Jamie Buhrer announces retirement

Levi just collapsed on the ground at a break in play and stayed down for about 4 minutes with a trainer. It was right before we had to do a line drop out so that might have had something to do with the sudden onset.

Levi got taken off as a result. Most likely Brown being cautious with our sole remaining proper hooker.

I thought he might’ve been doing that to give our defensive line a breather and a chance to recoup, then it backfired for him by Brown taking him off which is why he was dirty.

Could be wrong though...

thats what it looked like at the time, but when they took him off i thought maybe he wasnt faking

I have nothing against Jamie, but we can only carry one small body on our bench , if it is him and Coaching Staff are convinced that he covers all required positions then fine.

Have a bit of respect from him after reading that, which is weird because he comes from "the filth" aka Manly. Real team guy. Even if sometimes its reserves as some have suggested. Should have some funds from our departures to get him a modest two year deal which is cheap.

And if the interchange goes down to 6 like they are talking about, smaller bench forwards that can play longer minutes would be a lot more valuble

Buhrer is way down on form from last year.
Since we never get told about niggling injuries, I suspect he has one.

We do need blokes for nsw cup too that can do a job in firsts. We have seen that they both can so definitely keep both.
