Tim Glasby announces his retirement

Mooney has done very well with recruiting.
Only 1 real dud so far (Moga), and several like Ponga, Eseese and Griffin who have been much better than expected.

This doesn't look like a good signing, but Mooney has earned the benefit of the doubt on this one. Maybe he knows something we don't.

Bit hard on Moga mate, was tearing it up last year, and coming back on the base of no pre season and a winger with the case of the sulks outside of him.

Still hoping to get a couple of down and dirty bone rattling forwards :(

This reminds me off all the talk about how bad a signing Griffin was ...
I can’t believe how many nrl experts there are that don’t work in the game......further more I don’t know how browny and Mooney keep there job with this many “experts”

8 Ese Ese
9 Griffin
10 Buy
11 Fitzgibbon
12 Barnett
13 Guerra
14 Levi
15 D.Saifiti
16 Glasby
17 King/J.Saifiti?Buy

Thats what id be hoping for next year. 1 or 2 more forwards and ill be very happy!

Definitely need one or two more.

If Ah Mau is off to the warriors there is really no one worth bothering with. Best case scenario is another club gets stupid at the end of the year and someone of real quality drops into our lap (ala Pearce).

I think we are best off waiting to see what happens with the Dogs and Manly, if Klemmer or Taupau do go to the Roosters we might end up with Napa. Klemmer going to the Eels won't do us any good as they don't really have any props I'd really want.

I know not many people are fans of Tolman but if we can get him for half his deal then I'd take him, very similar to Glasby he'll help our middle defence.

Whilst Glasby and Tolman aren't the 'sexy signings' people are after they would fix our biggest issue which is the middle defence, Dsaf and Herm are doing well gaining metres it's just stopping them that's hurting us.

got to remember we will have to upgrade some players before contract runs out to keep particularly ponga so dont spend all our cash just yet

Won't have to upgrade Ponga until his 4th or possibly 3rd year of his deal, but you're right upgrading and extending him before he gets on the market is the right idea, but we don't need to worry for a while yet.

He won't be playing off the bench Josh2010. Quality signing current SOO forward streets better than anything we have know in the front row.

I didn't watch him last year, but he'll have to do a lot more than I saw this year to impress me. The only good thing I can think of to say about him is that he has a nice smile.

Moga was a beast last year and he had a pretty ****ty preseason with us , people say Daniel is just starting to get to where he should be because of his interrupted preseason well Moga would have been the same .

He was regularly terrorising the opposition last year. Hopefully he can get back to that form next year.

Only one dud so far in 2018 and thats Lamb, has done less than nothing...

Moga will come good next year as long as his knees hold up.
