Tim Glasby announces his retirement

Loving the blind excitement over Glasby, I'll save my excitement until he gets here and we see what he can do away from Melbourne. Even at Melbourne his numbers are not great, and players dip in performance when leaving their system a lot of the time.

Should be interesting.

Still a bench player for storm is still good enough to start for us!

I never understand this for starters his an older guy that has done well in the middle parts of the game, he'll be hitting 30 when we get him, why turn him into something that he has never been, especially when traditionally we suck going into half time and just after?

The thinking is probably, Griffin has been very good for us, so Glasby will be too.

The careers of forwards leaving the Storm system is not pretty viewing.

Kirk Reynoldson, Ben Cross, Ryan Hoffman, Antonia Kafusi, Brett White, Adam Blair, Kevin Proctor all flopped. Tohu Harris and Jordan Mclean look to be going same way in limited viewing.

Tolman and Jeremy Smith only ones that come to mind holding their form.

Yea I really don’t see the excitement in Glasby. He will fade off into obscurity once he arrives at the Knights.

Tohu Harris has been very good on that right fringe for Warriors. One of the reasons they’ve been so good IMO. Not fair to say Jordan McLean has flopped since he got injured almost right away. That could happen in any system.

Harris as been OK, I don't think it will last and not as good as at Storm. McLean had 1 good game and 3 ordinary ones before he got injured.

McLean never looked like a world beater in the storm system either. Don’t know how he walked into the Australian side. Seriously over rated.

All this doubt about Glasby and about his ability, no matter how you look at it he is basically a signing to cover the loss of retiring Lillyman and Heighinton. Doesn't matter if he starts or bench it's what he gives us for the time he plays, hopefully a strong 40-50 minutes. We can still sign the type of player we want/need if, IF, one or more become available.

Ahh well Frank around here even gift horses are not looked at in a bright light! One would have to be doing something right to complete six years at the Storm and play SOO.

Remember Ponga is too young, too much money for an untried 19 year old.

Tohu Harris is a gun

Disagree about Harris. I think he’s been very good on that right edge. If that’s just OK form, the expectation is set way too high.

Not a world beater, but a good prop.

Woods has been walking into the Australian and NSW team for years now. Would take a healthy McLean over Woods.

Seriously overrated... that sounds like Boyd. He can be very damaging in spurts, but the money that’s being thrown at him is crazy. He’s about as inconsistent as Napa.
