Off contract options

I read a couple of days ago that Ah Mau wants to end up playing back in Auckland and the Warriors are after him too.

Warriors cap room will come into question if they can afford to give Ah Mau a decent contract. Plus we all know when he goes to the warriors he’ll be a shadow of his former self

Before calling someone an idiot you might want to check your spelling. You also post a ridiculous team list with Watson to centre replaced by a 30+ year old Carney who hasn't played NRL in 5 odd years. You admit you haven't seen him play, only read about him. People who have seen him play tell you he's been ordinary and you argue with them? Forgetting the fact that the Knights have already made a clear intention of NOT signing players with "questionable" records and this is all a moot point.
Regardless of what Cowboyman said or didn't say, give it a rest! Tired of reading the garbage page after page after page.
Carney has played for Australia he is a talent and has a good running and Kicking game .
Also Watson is a running 5/8 who could play centre easily and 1 person said he has seen him play and i have read quite a bit about him playing over there so one persons opinion doesn't sway me .
Look at how many people said Lamb was better than Watson and then couldn't wait for Watson to come back..
If you don't want to read it DONT mate.

Sione played for Australia to.
Carney is average now and aint worth the time or money.
Pointless discussion as the club aint and wont be interested.

Honestly fellas you’re wasting your time arguing about Carney.

The one guy I would be having a crack at and I think we could get is Broncos Jamayne Isaako.

Good athlete, young and will improve plus he’s a very good goal kicker. Automatic upgrade on Kenny Sio in all areas especially goal kicking which is a real issue for us.

As for the props I still think we get Ah Mau but the more I think about it the more I’d like Glasby as well, Dan and Herm are doing a good job of eating metres whilst Ah Mau will do the same. We really need someone to stiffen up our middle and that’s Glasby’s forte.

Lillyman has been an epic fail I think we’ll see him in Reggies this week with King and Yates probably in Firsts

Sorry forgot to explain why I think we can get Isaako, quite simple really the Broncos are flat out trying to keep TPJ, Lodge, Su’a and Haas plus they’re apparently still in for Wallace. If we make Isaako an offer he can’t refuse which would probably only be about $250 -$300K I think we’d get him.

REALLY like Isaako as a player since he debuted against us last year. Athletic, good finisher, young and can also kick goals. Perfect signing for us.

Lillyman was better than I thought he'd be when fully match fit, but taking a few weeks off means he needs to get a few more games up before he is fit again, and maybe reserve grade is where he can do that.

Isaako will be a wanted man. Young kid with a lot of potential. Not sure he’d sign on here as I’m sure he’d want to go to a place that gives him a path to playing fullback. That’s his natural position and I’m sure where he wants to play, not permanently stuck on the wing behind the best young fullback in the game in Ponga. Would love to have him on the wing for us though.

You might be right especially with the trend of wingers wanting that fullback money, still worth a crack though.

A goal kicking winger would tick a few boxes

Should have been on return, last week with Yates, unlucky to be dropped or King, it's a smack in the mouth for reserve graders battling to make it when higher profile players are gifted starting positions based on reputation.

Happens everywhere in every sport. Coaches go on a known quantity as they live and die by the sword.

Looking at the stats most weeks from reserve grade there isn’t many options banging down the door demanding to be picked. Yates possibly but King probably not.

When I say I have the odd concern about Brown's coaching this is one of them. Seems to be rules for some and a different set for others. Also has a shot at some players publicly whilst others seem off limits.

Does anyone ever take into account the fact that a player marking time in reserve grade might lift dramatically if called up ? There was plenty of talk about King pre season and he hasn't been sighted off Nobby's

Su'a has already signed with South Sydney but the Broncos will still be competing to re-sign their other players. We should absolutely be making a play for Haas when they are allowed to approach him

Has he signed ???

The other fact to remember is that the Broncos are more than likely looking at halfback options for either 2019 or 2020, so they'll be making sure to keep some money aside for that.

Isaako is definitely a realistic option

Broncos need a genuine 7 to pair with Milford. They should look at Sezer. He has the ability, just needs to be fully realised. He wouldn’t break the bank either. Continue with Nikorima off the bench as impact. He’s playing extremely well there.
