Rumour: Knights chasing Dylan Napa

SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT

There’s been a lot of chatter around Dylan Napa being unhappy at the Roosters.

There were rumours the Roosters were shopping the forward late last year too.

The Queensland Origin prop is under contract until the end of 2019 but what do contracts mean these days?

For what it’s worth, Market Watch asked Napa about the talk he was on the outer in Bondi.

The prop was linked to Newcastle despite re-signing but declared none of the talk was true.

“It was definitely not me wanting out of the club. I have two more years,” Napa told Market Watch.

“I was overseas so I didn’t see much of it.

“My mates were sending me reports and I rang my manager and they made it clear they wanted me at the club.”

Thread closed obviously not coming here anytime soon

Why would we bother signing a bloke who never even entertained coming up here for a meeting and to check out the club’s facilities?

Goes missing no consistency at all... thats what we are after players that can be consistent...

Plus his form is pretty down at the moment...

NEWCASTLE FOR DYLAN NAPA

Still at the Knights, Roosters prop Dylan Napa could be the latest boy from Bondi to move up the freeway.

Napa is being targeted by Newcastle as they look to bolster their forward pack.

Given the Knights already boast former Roosters, Mitchell Pearce, Aiden Guerra, Shaun Kenny-Dowall and Connor Watson, Napa would need no introduction

Napa needs to leave the Roosters 100% he has the potential to be the best prop in the game but for some reason he doesnt seem to happy in Bondi.

Yes we need a consistent performer to lead the pack, though ill take the enforcer that makes everyone take a look before they catch the ball anyday of the week.

Some terrible comparisons, dog and horse ****, how did Napa, McLean, Glasby etc become first grade players even SOO if they are being compared like that, time to recognise that all regular first grade players can play, just some are better than others, wouldn't mind a side with those three in the side, would take any one of them but for Knights fit give me Napa, mongrel.

Quite easy when they are all commanding 600k plus.. none of them should be on anymore then 400k each but reputation gets you as much dollars as actual ability and luckily for Napa and McLean they have got a reputation of being a top prop when they really ain’t.

No mention of top grade, don't rate them in top 6-8 props but certainly can add to our squad, don't have to like them to see the benefit just have to be honest with your opinion and the ability of the players in question. Some players despite not liking them I would rather be playing for us than against, like most first graders they are a long way from dog **** and horse poo unlike your comments.

Go re-read my comments. Never called them that. Used that as a reference on determining who I’d pick out of the two. I.e neither would be my option.

They are all bang average and shouldn’t be anywhere near 600k+ each.
