Surely unless Dogs take half the contract next year and Graham takes $500k at the most the next 2, no way he is worth signing.

Some definite worries with the injuries starting to hit him. Although a quick look at his stats shows he's still top line as **** when fit. 114m was his worst game this year, run over 200m 6 times this year & a whole bunch of games in the range of 120-190m. Plays big minutes, he's the definition of forward leader that the Saifitis would grow off.

I think Graham would be good depending on price, but was curious to where you get your Stats from NRL.com has him breaking the 200m only once and had a fair few games worse than 114m, averaging 124m for the season.

If Graham has one more year in him he is the perfect player for us in 2018, but as far as I can see, his friendship with Matt Gidley is the only reason he would come here.

Had a second look, NRL.com listed 2016 stats, my bad. Stand by what I said though.

1 Bulldogs 39 12 75 0 0 0 0 0 0
2 Bulldogs 27 15 127 1 0 0 0 0 0
3 Bulldogs 39 15 144 0 0 0 0 0 0
4 Bulldogs 32 14 91 0 0 0 0 0 0

14 Bulldogs 26 19 156 0 0 0 0 0 0
16 Bulldogs 37 14 116 0 0 0 0 0 0
Averages 33.86 14.86 124.00

2017 stats if he doesnt make 150m he makes 30+tks so either way his working hard all the time

Another thing here, rds9 and 12 he went off early... if u take those 2 games out of those 16rds and just base his stats off the other 14rds his average is 35.83tks and 136.3m per game which aint bad for a 56yr old ranga

Yeah i agree he is still one of the best props going around when fit, his leadership and competitiveness is what we really need at the club. Hopefully he can manage his neck issues and gets back to playing his best.

This. If we can't get a quality experienced half Graham would be an ideal signing. Hard to judge him after his comeback game from a pretty serious injury. Wait for the salary cap dramas to unfold and get him below market value.

What's his shelf life though. Guess if we sign him club will put him through a barrage of tests

His shelf life will be as long as the contract is.
Weather he can keep the standard of footy on field up? is a wait and see.
Though i personally feel his presence in the team alone would be huge going forward in 2018-19.
As a prop forward he is the complete package, heart, pride, drive, will, skill, aggression, and after 400 top flight games he still has HUNGER.
if his work load dropped 20% overall he would still be our best prop.

Nunnsy thought provocking to say the least.

When fit ,is interesting cause managing a neck injury in the Front row may cause issues and poses interesting complications.

His leadership and competitiveness is exactly what we really need at the club, but at what price? The figures being toted are far too high and will severely impact on our ability to get a marque half who will command that money .

I agree personally I wouldn't be offering a million a season, I would be happy with 1.2 million for 2 years I think that is reasonable giving his injury concerns and current form which has suffered due to his injuries.

I agree with his presence and competitiveness and leadership but if his workload was to drop 20% on this year than i dont think he is worth anywhere near the 1 million being quoted , because i love my stats i had a look at our 3 best props side by side andhad a look at what the stats would look like if Dan and esse did not improve (which i think they will) and grahams work load dropped 20%. Grahams defence is impressive makes a lot more tackles than dan and esse and misses less has only missed 9 all season. I personally think Dans running game is the best of all 3 this year considering he is more of a target than the other 2 as he is our only decent prop makes nearly twice as many offloads as the other 2 has made 3 line breaks this year which is impressive for a prop.
GRAHAM
123.1 m a game 34.1 tackles 0.6 missed 0.4 offloads 0.0 line beaks errors 0.5
DAN SAFITI
112.5m a game 23 tackles 1.8 missed tackles 0.7 offloads 0.2 line breaks errors 0.3
HERMAN
105.5m a game 20.9 tackles 1.3 missed 0.3 offloads 0.1 line breaks errors 0.2
GRAHAM
98.4m a game 27.2 tackles 0.6 missed 0.4 offloads 0.0 line breaks errors 0.5
