I don't know whether getting a bit emotional as the win appeared a possibility is sign that as I get older I'm becoming a soft c*** or a sign of just how bad we've been.

It's bad isn't it! I had the old watery eyes going when we beat the Titans & probably would have today if I'd seen it. Never been like that watching sport... I then proceeded to get hammered to celebrate that win, as I most likely will tonight now

Soft mate ~ real soft! You is gettin' old!

For mine today the play makers will realise we can score from kicks into the in goal, from forwards running a good line and set up as Lamb and Feeney set Sione up for his first try and keeping pressure on the opps for longer periods, cutting down penalties and ball control, which was better today. I still don't se why Brownie perserveres with Starling.

I actually think it's because you can see what it means to them- they had so much emotion on display it's hard to not get caught up in it.

Im guessing the kicking for touch was to give our D a chance to get set and not start each set on the back foot. Generally our attempts at getting the ball in to the in goal have failed and put us on the back foot straight away.

Even today our few kicks to the in goal didn't get in their clean, their D fumbled the ball.

Does this mean u may just finally agree that it has always been a play to go to ground on the last inside the op 20m zone?
Had to ask lol

Also probably the suprise packet was feeney looked quite sharp for the most part.

Honourable mention to Wardle solid and created at times without being great.

Also has anyone answered what happened to Elliot, if Browns looking to bring Wardle in I've been a Sio fan but surely he was the first off the block back to NSW cup?

Hopefully this is the end of the 'Fitzy is never going to be a first grade player' talk. He is and always has been a big minute starting second rower and you can tell he bleeds red and blue. The heart he showed when getting back in the line after the knee injury was damn impressive.

Few stats from the game today

Dan Saifiti 21runs 185m 23tks
Josh Starling 13runs 115m 13tks
Denny Levi 11runs 64m 27tks
Yates 18runs 125m 29tks
Sione 10runs 52m 41tks
Fitzy 10 runs 60m 28tks

I said at the start of the season that fitsy will be a good first grader and u guys all knocked me back

Do we know what he did? Strain imo.

So Brown flogs the young squad all off season and the team looks increasingly jaded from game to game. We get a bye and the week after we have strong wins in all three grades.

Who do you mean by u guys? He isn't an impact player full stop and every time he was previously in first grade he had to be a tackle robot in the centre of the field and it obviously just doesn't suit his game at all. I've always rated him as a starting second rower.

Brown said in the press conference likely torn meniscus.
Interestingly I think he also said that starling may have broken his hand so everyone on here might get their wish of not seeing him next week.

Yes starling broke his arm but to his credit he played for another 10minutes and took another 2 hitups

So many good performers today but Dan Saifiti played a top game, 54 minutes before his first break !!!! He started the year a bit slow for what we were all expecting but the last few weeks he's been putting up good numbers, the guy is still only 21 he could be one of the best props going around in a few years .....
