2017/2018 Knights Player signing speculation

This thread is 6 months old with 150 pages racked up & we've signed Kalyn Ponga... there's a lot of hopes & dreams amongst it all but **** all of anything else...how the **** did my mighty knights get this low?
It's getting to the point where Bryan Fletcher making a comeback & signing for us would cause movement down stairs now

Would you prefer a hand full of overpriced average signings?? im happy sitting back at this stage, us playing the long game may well prove to be a masterstroke when the cap is set and clubs realise they need to move players on.

Will u feel the same in another 12mths if nothing has changed?
Thats the issue the club faces, right now we understand as frustrating it may be! But another 12mths of this and the sharks will circle

88 I'm certain a great % of this Club's supporters don't realize how ordinary the situation is. That Ipswich Jets thingy is not as far fetched as some think. There's not enough cash in Newcastle to field a team in a National league(soccer included) that will be contenders.

If nothings changed in 12 months then yes i dare say my stance will change. But as it stands now i dont know what else you expect us to do. My point was sitting back at this stage and not making kneejerk decisions to fix us right now and waiting for the potential fire sale of players once the cap is set is our best option at the minute imo.
 
I am more concerned about trying to get players this season before June 30 to be honest. Long way to go until next season but if we don't start winning some games its going to get a hell of a lot harder to sign bigger name players for 2018.

Don't be so pessimistic, start to be optimistic........we are going to have a great year when mullen resigns in 2021.

He has plenty of time to get his hammy right, so he will be 33 when his suspension finishes highly doubt he will return but not out of the question
 
I wish Gagai would hurry up and make his mind up what he's doing, the longer he waits the less chance we could sign a decent replacement if he leaves e.g. Ferguson ......
 
I wonder if Brown is talking to Rochow about returning before June 30? He's not getting a run at Souths and is only on a 1 year deal anyways. I'm not really a fan of his but just curious .....

Wouldn't it be funny if we end up signing Rochow and Roberts back as our new prop and halfback ....

Actually that wouldn't be funny ......

I think he's waiting for his option to expire and then renegotiate a new contract from what I've read

Why does he have to wait ? Surely he could just sign a new deal now, if Gagai re-signs it's a good look for the club when it comes to attracting other players. On the other hand if he left it really would look terrible that our only SOO player has left ......
